Record Store Day – with Stef and Mauro

For years, April 19th is the day US independent record stores are celebrating their own existence with in-store concerts…
next Saturday you can also experience it in Belgium when Stef and Mauro will perform at Tune Up, an independent Antwerp record store. 

Be there, buy music, enjoy the concerts!

In de VS is 19 april al jarenlang “Record Store Day” ; dag van de kleine
independent platenwinkel.
Die dag worden mensen opgeroepen om hun platen te kopen bij de kleine,
onafhankelijke winkels, die zoals iedereen nu wel weet het overal steeds
moeilijker krijgen…
Dit initiatief krijgt enorm veel steun van de muzikanten zelf (check de
indrukwekkende lijst citaten op http://www.recordstoreday.com) en gaat
dan ook samen met concerten in de winkels.

Ook in Engeland krijgt dit initiatief navolging, zo doet dit jaar de
Londense platenwinkel Honest Jon’s (ook label met sterke steun van Damon
Albarn) mee aan het initiatief.

Na het lezen van artikel in MOJO hierover besluit ook Carlo Andriani van
de kleine platenwinkel TUNE UP in Antwerpen (Korte Nieuwstraat 9) deel
te nemen aan ‘Recordstoreday’op zaterdag 19/04 en hij krijgt daarbij de
steun van twee
indrukwekkende muzikanten die graag platen kopen in zijn winkel: Stef
Kamil Carlens en Mauro zullen spelen in TUNE UP vanaf 14u. Mauro staat
er met een nieuw project, met drummer Herman Houbrechts, genaamd
Hitsville Drunks.
