City Portal interview
City Portal had an interview with Stef Kamil. You can read it here. (in Greek)
I translated some parts:
This is your second visit to the city of Thessaloniki. Did it left you any impression after all these years?
SKC: Unfortunately, the previous visit was very brief. I had nothing to visit. I hope to do it this time!
It seems that in recent years pieces of Zita Swoon became less experimental and more «pop». Is this what you want? If so, are there some specific reasons for this shift?
Indeed, It is less experimental. I don’t know why this happened. But in any case, each disc is completely different from the previous one. So everything is still possible. I want to accomplish a lot with my music. Sometimes with the band, other times solo. Sometimes it sounds as a spring breeze, other times as a fox in a barn.
The Josie character who was present in many verses in your past, is rarely present in recent songs. Is the «Josieanna» from the last album, the same «person» and what does she ultimately mean for you?
Josieanna is no one else than Josie! It is the girl of my dreams and my nightmares(?). It is an angel and a devil. I find the door to her house and then get lost again. «I’m floating through the air and she’s everywhere»
Your name means «intense desire» (επιθυμώ έντονα). Is there something we can wish you, both in music and on a personal level?
There are still many, many things I want to do. So I can’t specify that.
