Past Projects

1/ Before Moondog Jr.
It all started when Stef Kamil and Aarich Jespers met in 1989 and decided to make music together. It took a while before making music with friends became being joined in a band. Kamil and the Beatband became SKC Moondog, which changed into A Beatband… when they recorded their first EP, Jintro travels the word in a skirt.

Around that time Stef Kamil Carlens (guitar, vocals) gathered the following musicians: (tbc)

Due to the succes of dEUS, and Stef being occupied, an inactive period follows.

2/ Moondog Jr. (mid 1995 – dec 1996)
When Island records offers Stef Kamil -as a result of their deal with dEUS- a chance to record an album, the band is called Moondog Jr. and has these members:

5/ Plage Tattoo/Circumstances (ZS + Les ballets C de la B + Muziektheater transparent) (june 1999 – dec 1999)
This production, created for the ’99 Holland Festival, resulted in a 70 dates tour throughout Europe.

A band in a box is an off stage project. The band takes place in the middle of the venue with the crowd around it.
