On the 16th of may, Motek will release their new album ‘Port Sunshine’
Eva, Kapinga, Amel and Joris were all guest musicians on this album.
‘Port Sunshine’ will be presented at Stuk, Leuven. Especially for this albumreleaseparty Motek will perform in the middle of the audience with visual screens in every corner of the room . You can win tickets here (that’s also our source)

This fall, the Ancienne Belgique (Brussels concert venue) gives Stef Kamil the one day curatorship in their Carte Blanche project … and hereby the chance to program the artists of his choice.
In the past years Mauro Pawlowski (2004) and Wim Vandekeybus (2007) had the same honor.

Earlier we wrote Stef Kamil would participate on the new Afterhours album, ‘I Milanesi ammazzano il sabato’.
Last weekend the album was released and more details about Stef’s contributions got known.

The Salzburg-gig was canceled. This reduces the Austria concerts to the one at the Poolbar Festival.

Tomorrow, the Montreal Jazz Festival (which is the largest Jazz festival in the world) announces his indoor program. Zita Swoon will perform there on July 1st and 2nd.
I want to break free, with Eva and Kapinga
Last Friday (May 2nd) Arno sang ‘I Want To Break Free’ on ‘Esprits Libre’ (France 2)… with Eva and Kapinga as backing vocals and Serge Feys on keyboard.

According to zita.be Zita Swoon will perform at the Festival Vrij-Dagen, Turnhout.
Date 11 july.
March 21st Zita Swoon played at the Carré des Jalles near Bordeaux (France).
As proposed by Renaud Cojo (myspace - website), the concert was entirely recorded by 15 cellphones. Recently (april 14-18 ) a first draft of this audience recording was shown at Des Souris, Les Hommes, a multimedia festival at Le Carré des Jalles.

In Juni, the final version of the film will be presented at a Pocket Film festival at the Forum des Images in Paris, France.
3voor12.nl has a news item (in dutch) about the band Roosbeef. Roosbeef is currently working on their first release that will be produced by Tom Pintens. The item is about Roosbeef signing at Excelsior Records, a dutch label. The record will be released around october.
About Stef:
“I see Stef one or two times in a year. I find it’s a pity he’s making ’soft’ music because he used to be more into rock… But it’s his choice. He wrote incredible songs like Giving up the hero which is genius, and also the first song on the album (Infinite Down on Big Blueville), he’s giving his ???? to Rickie Lee Jones. So he’s a really good songwriter… but sometimes I miss a little ‘punch’ “.
